PARIS IN ELGIN
Synopsis
Act 1, Scene One, setting: The "Chat Noir" Cabaret, in Paris. It is a favorite spot with the performers of "Le Petit Theatre de Paris", which is just across the street. The performers frequently gather here to rest, relax and recreate. This particular night is special because the popular chanteuse, Claudia Hommel, is entertaining. A singing competition develops between the opera singers and Claudia.
Act 2, Scene One, setting: Members of the opera company perform a benefit for The Petit Theatre de Paris, a small opera house across the street from the cabaret.
Act 2, Scene Two, setting: We join the opera singers back at the "Chat Noir" Cabaret, after their opera house performance. Claudia Hommel entertains once again. The opera singers are in hight spirits after their performance. They are joined by a young group of Americans, anxious to learn about life, opera and the French!
